Strategies for Tendriculous

(OOG I thought it would be a good idea to work out some ideas and strategies for toppling the big plant, and since we do not seem to RP enough I thought it would entertaining to do it with some RP)

During an evening dinner, Belgannan glances up from his journal, his black eyes scanning his friends and speaks up, his voice with a hint of malice "In light of running from that giant plant, it may be beneficial for us to come up with some sort of strategy to rid this plane of its presence so we may expand our nation in this direction. We should come up with some ideas on how to kill it and counteract its and the area's attacks."

He turns some pages in his journal and finds his notes with a long white finger. "We know that it does not have any real vulnerabilities, one of you said it was immune to acid, and that it could regenerate, but it appeared that fire and possibly cold seemed to temporarily halt its regeneration process. It seemed pretty mindless given how easily it succumbed to my glitterdust spell."

Belgannan glares at his notes, sighs, and closes his eyes wincing at the memories slightly. "We also know it likes to capture its prey in its tendrils, paralyze its prey, and probably eventually eat it, so we should think of ways to counteract its poison and entanglements."

He opens his eyes again his brow furrows slightly, "We also have to deal with the stench which seemed to cause serious nausea even in the best of us, we will need to find a way to counteract that as well, or draw it out away from the stench. Any ideas on defeating this thing?"

Cademon says "Stab it with fire til it dies and don't get caught by the tentacles."

Belgannan raises an eyebrow at the halfling, and in a dry sarcastic voice "Why don't you go pick its pockets first then if that is your solution, I really cannot wait to come back to Eras and tell the people, 'Oh sorry, your King is dead because he would not listen to advice or formulate a plan, and so he got paralyzed and eaten by a giant plant that is menacing the frontier instead."

Cademon perks up and says, "Oh, did you see pockets on it while it had you entangled? I thought you were just paralyzed. I guess you did have a closer view than the rest of us."

Belgannan closes his eyes and shakes his head at Cademon "Why do I even bother to help?"

"When you're done antagonizing each other..."

"Fire is an excellent idea, but it should be applied at range. Flaming arrows and spells. Most of us have excellent aim, so that should be the best option."

Belgannan opens his eyes again and nods at finally someone talking sense. He picks up his glass of wine and takes a drink. His voice is even and logical. "I think between all of us, bringing forth fire will be the easy part. It seems that despite Ano'ha's exemplary healing abilities we have a hard time handling various conditions such as being nausiated, exhausted, or paralyzed among others. Is there anything we can prepare or purchase to help us handle these situations better?"
